
Dr Marousa Pavlou
Consultant in Audio Vestibular Medicine
Dr. Marousa Pavlou is a Consultant Vestibular Physiotherapist at University College London Hospitals and Great Ormond Street Hospital, and an Honorary Senior Lecturer at King’s College London. Her research and clinical focus on the assessment and rehabilitation of balance in adults and children with vestibular disorders, and she has contributed extensively to her field through publications and international presentations.
Bio
Dr Marousa Pavlou is a Consultant vestibular physiotherapist at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust. She is also an Honorary Senior Lecturer at King’s College London. She obtained her PhD in the assessment and rehabilitation of mechanisms operating in human balance from Imperial College London.
Her research and clinical practice focus on the assessment and rehabilitation of balance primarily in adults and children with vestibular disorders and older adults who are at risk of falling or have experienced a fall. She has published numerous articles as well as book chapters and has been invited to present her work at various NHS physiotherapy, neurology, and audiology departments, teaching seminars, and at many national and international conferences.
Dr Pavlou is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, the International Society for Posture and Gait Research, an elected member of the International Bárány Society and is past-chairman of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists interested in Vestibular Rehabilitation.
